Jorissen Simonetti architects was established at the beginning of the sixties of the last century. On 1 July 1963, architect Henk Jorissen settled in Rijssen. In doing so he followed in the footsteps of his father, who has managed building projects from Rijssen since the thirties.
The firm soon became a trade name in healthcare and built various old people’s homes, nursing homes and hospitals. But in other sectors, too, the firm continued to develop and as a result designed private houses, schools, industrial buildings and council housing.
In 1992 the Jorissen Architekten Groep merged with a firm in Doetichem, the result of which was Jorissen Simonetti. At present our firm is one of the largest architectural firms in the Netherlands, with branches in Doetichem, Leiden, Maarssen, Rijssen and Steenwijk.
