Religious centre

The religious centre The Wingerd is located on the new Dichteren estate, in Doetichem.

The centre distinguishes itself from the surrounding architecture with its eye-catching appearance, contrasting use of materials and colours and extremely refined details.

The curved roof of the church hall symbolises the domes of historic cathedrals; a place where additional functions have been brought together in a mass ‘in the latest fashion’. Light and the entry of light were of fundamental importance during the design process and these give the centre a harmonious, familiar atmosphere.
