The departure point for the design of the VW and AUDI showrooms is their corporate identity. Seen from the Keppelseweg, the VW showroom has been situated against a black, brickwork strip of offices of three floors with the workshop at the back. The AUDI showroom complies with the prescribed principle of the hangar.
Because there is a difference in level of half a floor, the showrooms are on a higher level than the workshop. The bottom floor of the offices is one and a half floors high. The lay-out of the concept is simple and austere and the whole picture is emphasized by the fact that both showrooms have been built on a platform.
In details the corporate identity has been subtly simplified whilst maintaining the spatial quality.
