Parkeerloge

The car park of the Slingerland Hospital in Doetichem needed to be wholly renovated. This meant that the car-park attendants needed new accommodation. A central location has been chosen in the middle of the roundabout that links the various parking areas. This makes it a recognisable landmark that is clearly visible from the entrance to the car park and the main entrance to the hospital.

The two charcoal plates emphasize this visibility. In between these plates, at the front is the ticket office and the entrance is at the back. A semicircular workshop is connected to each plate. The windows in each semicircle have been placed at a different height. Thus on one side visitors are able to look inside, whilst on the other work can be carried out in peace. The attendants have a perfect view of the whole car park from both sections.
