TEC-Slingeland

The position of the Transmural Education Centre (TEC) is a result of the desire to have the building close to the entrance of the Slingeland hospital and to give the entrance area a private character. A number of shops have been accommodated on the ground floor, namely a Home Care shop, an orthopaedic instrument maker, a pharmacy and a hearing aid supplier. This is another good reason to put the building on the main route of those visiting the hospital.

The doctor’s surgery has been accommodated in the basement with a corridor leading directly to Accident and Emergency. On the first floor there is a blood bank and the offices of Home Care. The upper floor houses a number of hospital educational facilities: classrooms, offices for educational staff and the library.
