THE DESIGN

This apartment building is situated between semi-detached houses and a nine-storey gallery flat. In order to bridge this difference in scale, the building is six storeys high on the Groenhovenlaan side. The part of the building on the estate is only three storeys high. The entrance to the building is on the boundary of the high and the low sections. Three different colours of brickwork have been used, whereby the black/brown brick indicates the different functions on the ground floor and the brickwork painted with white Keim mineral paint softens the end of the building.
